Job Description:The Director - Power Phase 1 at Qiddiya Investment Company plays a pivotal role in the early stages of the development of power systems for the Qiddiya project. This leadership position requires strategic oversight and technical expertise in power generation and distribution, ensuring that Phase 1 is set up effectively to meet the project's upcoming energy demands.Key Responsibilities:1. **Project Initiation & Planning:**- Lead the preliminary phases of power project planning for Phase 1, outlining goals, timelines, and deliverables in coordination with company objectives.- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure project specifications align with the vision for Qiddiya.2. **Technical Oversight:**- Provide technical guidance on power distribution systems, ensuring utilization of best practices and innovative solutions.- Analyze power generation options, including renewable sources, to create a sustainable energy framework for Qiddiya.3. **Financial Management:**- Develop initial budgets for power infrastructure projects and monitor expenses to remain within financial parameters.- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed power solutions, presenting findings to the executive team.4. **Regulatory Engagement:**- Work closely with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all power generation and distribution regulations.- Identify necessary permits and approvals, facilitating processes for timely execution of projects.5. **Stakeholder Collaboration:**- Foster effective communication and collaboration among various stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and internal teams.- Represent Qiddiya in stakeholder meetings and public forums as required.6. **Team Development:**- Mentor staff and promote team development to ensure high standards of performance and safety in all operations.- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the power management team.Requirements:Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; preference for candidates holding a Master's degree or Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy sector, with significant experience overseeing power generation and distribution projects.
  • Demonstrated success in project management, particularly in the initiation and execution phases.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines and compliance issues relevant to power systems in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
  • Effective leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and manage diverse groups of stakeholders.
