Job Description:We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer / Safety Engineer to join our turnaround project team. The role ensures compliance with safety regulations, implementation of company safety standards, and supervision of contractors to maintain a safe working environment.Key Responsibilities:Ensure all contractors’ safety staff (officers, engineers, supervisors) comply with company safety practices and reporting requirements.Verify that electrical works are carried out only by qualified personnel with valid permits.Monitor housekeeping: proper cable storage, gas cylinder handling, and waste segregation.Review and approve Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessments (RA) for all activities.Ensure riggers and equipment operators are certified and licensed by competent authorities.Monitor the use of cranes, forklifts, welding machines, combustion equipment, and verify installation of fire extinguishers, spark arrestors, and grounding.Enforce safety rules: no smoking outside designated shelters, no mobile phones/cameras/lighters inside restricted areas, driving speed
30 KMPH.Inspect scaffolding, tools, hoses, clamps, and safety tags to ensure compliance.Ensure contractors submit MSDS for all chemicals 24 hours in advance.Ensure reporting and medical documentation of any injuries is completed within 24 hours.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety.NEBOSH / OSHA or equivalent safety certifications.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial / turnaround / oil & gas projects.Strong knowledge of Saudi Labor Law and local safety regulations.Proficiency in English (spoken & written).Valid Saudi Driving License.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in Turnaround or Shutdown projects.Familiarity with SAP work order system.
