Job Description:You will join a team of highly qualified team engineers to continue the innovation and development of our product which uses Machine Learning & Big Data technologies to analyze content from several data sources. Lucidya offers a result-driven, fun, and dynamic environment full of challenges.As an Engineering Director, you will be leading a team of developers to increase the product offering of our SaaS which is built using industry's latest technologies. You will be expected to create processes, execute strategies and work closely with different team members to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner. You will work directly under the CTO in an agile yet demanding environment. We expect you to be a fast self-learner to adapt quickly to state-of-the-art technologies.Responsibilities
  • Lead research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes.
  • Ensure new features matches the management technical requirements product vision
  • Determine the need for training and talent development
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams
  • Check their team's work for technical accuracy
  • Coordinate work with other managers and staff
Requirements:
  • BA/BS or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven work experience as a technical lead, engineering manager or similar roles
  • Strong technical background
  • Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems
  • Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnel
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems
