Job Description:Job Summary:The Commis III – Pastry is responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries and desserts under the guidance of senior chefs. This entry-level role is perfect for someone passionate about baking and eager to learn in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts.Follow standard recipes and presentation specifications as directed by the Chef de Partie – Pastry.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry workstation.Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.Support in receiving and storing pastry supplies and ingredients.Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor.Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.Take part in training sessions and development programs as required. Desired Skill & Expertise:Requirements:Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Pastry preferred.Previous experience in a pastry kitchen or bakery is an advantage.Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients.Passion for pastry and keen willingness to learn and grow.Ability to work under pressure and follow instructions.Good hygiene and grooming standards.Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.Basic communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
