We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to work independently while contributing to the overall success of our organization.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies
Assist in budgeting processes and provide insights on financial performance
Generate and analyze financial reports for management review
Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulations
Utilize software such as Quicken for efficient financial management
Collaborate with public accounting firms as necessary for audits or tax preparation
ExperienceProven experience in bookkeeping or a related field
Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial concepts, and governmental accounting practices
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Quicken, is preferred
Familiarity with journal entries, bank reconciliation processes, and accounts payable functions
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
