Operation Manager – Asphalt Plants & Crushers

• Oversee daily operations of asphalt plants and crushers, ensuring optimal output and continuous production.
• Plan and monitor production schedules to meet project demands and delivery commitments.
• Ensure compliance with approved mix designs, production standards, and quality requirements.
• Implement stockpile and material management practices for aggregates and bitumen.
• Monitor fuel, energy, and raw material consumption to optimize operational costs.

• Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely preventive and corrective maintenance of plants and machinery.
• Maintain an updated asset register and ensure efficient utilization of equipment.
• Coordinate with logistics for fleet allocation and dispatching of asphalt and aggregates.

• Analyze production performance and identify areas for efficiency improvement and cost reduction.
• Develop and enforce operational KPIs, including production targets, downtime analysis, and cost per ton.
• Lead initiatives for process automation, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction.

• Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and local regulations.
• Coordinate with quality control for compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation for governmental inspections and certifications.

• Use SAP for production tracking, material consumption, maintenance records, and cost monitoring.
• Generate weekly and monthly operational reports for management review.
• Track budget performance, including operational expenses and material utilization.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of plant supervisors, operators, and technicians.
• Conduct performance appraisals and ensure continuous skill development for team members.
• Enforce a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in asphalt production and aggregate crushing operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of SAP for operations, procurement, and maintenance modules.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt plant operation, crusher management, material flow, and stockpile planning.
• Experience in managing large teams, production planning, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Excellent understanding of HSE and environmental compliance standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Asphalt & aggregate production targets met (tons/day, tons/month)
• Plant and equipment availability (%) and downtime reduction
• Cost per ton of asphalt and aggregates produced
