- Strive to uphold all hygiene and sanitation regulations, ensuring that all equipment in the kitchens and dishwashing areas are clean and in good working order, being sure to report any deficiencies.
- Lead and supervise the Night Stewarding team in all aspects of the department and ensure standards are followed.
- Assisting colleagues, steward management and culinary team to work to their greatest ability.
- Assist with food safety compliance and food production compliance.
- Conduct training and maintain effective business relationship with staff.
- Responsible for the maintenance and preventive maintenance of all kitchen and dish room equipment.
- Familiarize yourself with Company Health and Safety Policies and ensure your areas promote and comply with them.
- Take responsibility to rectify hazardous situations, reporting major areas of concern to Chief Steward.
- Familiarize yourself with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and actively enforce these in your area of responsibility.
- Ensure security incidents in your operational area are reviewed and corrective measures implemented to prevent recurring incidents.
- The Supervisor also assists in set-up and maintain inventory of supplies ensuring that all designated areas are properly maintained and serviced.
