Qualification: High School/University/Diploma■ Key Responsibilities:
Inspection:
Conducts visual, dimensional, and other inspections during fabrication, installation, and testing of piping systems.
Documentation Review:
Examines piping drawings, specifications, welding procedures, and other relevant documents to ensure compliance.
Material Verification:
Checks material certificates, test reports, and other documentation to confirm the correct materials are used.
Welding Inspection:
Inspects welds for defects, verifies welding procedures, and ensures proper heat treatment.
Testing:
Witnesses and documents various tests, including hydro tests, pneumatic tests, and leak tests.
Reporting:
Prepares inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other documentation related to quality control.
Coordination:
Communicates with other inspectors, engineers, and construction personnel to resolve quality issues.■ Essential Skills and Knowledge:
Piping Systems: Understanding of piping components, materials, and fabrication methods.
Codes and Standards: Familiarity with relevant codes like ASME, API, and other industry standards.
Welding: Knowledge of welding processes, procedures, and inspection techniques.
Testing: Understanding of various testing methods and their application to piping systems.
Documentation: Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.Expertise / Skill: 'Inspector shall demonstrate a thorough working knowledge and proven ability of all phases and types of critical coating applications and methods, and recognized industry standards and critical coatings. The inspector shall be certified to NACE CIP-I, SSPC–PCI–I, BGAS Grade-2, or equivalent as per SAEP-316.Reference (Experience): 'Inspector shall be a High School graduate, or higher; shall be fully conversant with applicable Industry Standards and Specifications; and shall perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision. The inspector shall meet, as a minimum, overall 5 years of experience in the related industry(e.g., industrial oil and gas production or petrochemical projects), 3 years of inspection experience, and 2 years of Contract Scope of Work.Full-time work required according to Schedule Q, Attachment VI
