Senior QA/QC Electrical Engineer (MEP Contracting)

Responsibilities

Lead QA/QC activities for electrical systems across MEP projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contract documents, and applicable codes and standards
Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and checklists for electrical works
Oversee inspections and testing of electrical installations including power distribution, lighting, ELV, grounding, and lightning protection systems
Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and client representatives to address NCRs, technical queries, and quality-related issues in a timely manner
Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation to ensure alignment with design intent and regulatory requirements
Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to approved procedures, safety standards, and commissioning protocols
Mentor QA/QC engineers and inspectors, driving continuous improvement initiatives and promoting a strong quality culture across projects

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
12–15 years of experience in QA/QC roles within MEP contracting, with strong exposure to large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects
In-depth knowledge of international electrical codes and standards, testing procedures, and commissioning practices
Proven experience in preparing and managing quality documentation, audits, and compliance reports
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams
Proficiency in reviewing electrical drawings, technical specifications, and project management documentation
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to quality assurance
