- Design, implement, and manage security controls and procedures for GCP services and resources.
- Perform risk assessments and security reviews to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize remediation measures.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, events, and incidents across the cloud environment.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for cloud operations.
- Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies to control access to GCP resources effectively.
- Conduct regular security assessments and collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends in cloud security.
- Provide security training and awareness for engineering teams to promote a security-first culture.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to security incidents effectively.
- Maintain documentation of security policies, architecture, and processes related to GCP.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud security, specifically within Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, frameworks, and compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Experience with GCP security tools and services, including Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, and Cloud Identity.
- Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), data encryption, and security configurations in GCP.
- Familiarity with network security principles and solutions, such as firewalls and VPNs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex security scenarios.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer) are desirable.
- Experience in scripting or programming languages, such as Python or Bash, for security automation.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools.
- Experience with tools like SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing frameworks.
