Dear AllWe are looking for Material Specialist with 5 to 8 years of experience in materials management or logistics for EPC/LSTK oil & gas projects with Aramco project experience.The Material Specialist will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and controlling all material-related activities for the Saudi Aramco LSTK project involving relocation of water wells. This role ensures the timely availability, quality, and correct storage of materials including submersible pumps, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and control components to support smooth project execution and commissioning.Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate material planning and procurement activities in collaboration with Procurement, Engineering, and Construction teams.
  • Monitor and control the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of project materials to ensure compliance with specifications and project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date material inventory records, including tracking of material movements and deliveries.
  • Perform material inspections and verify documentation such as certificates of conformity, test reports, and vendor inspection records.
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery and resolve material discrepancies or shortages.
  • Implement and monitor proper storage, handling, and preservation practices on site to prevent damage or deterioration.
  • Support the expediting process by tracking critical materials and coordinating with suppliers and shipping agents.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control for material inspections and ensure non-conforming materials are identified and managed appropriately.
  • Prepare and submit regular material status reports, including delivery schedules, inventory levels, and material-related issues.
  • Facilitate smooth material handover to construction and commissioning teams in alignment with project timelines.
  • Support the implementation of project material control procedures and Saudi Aramco’s standards.
  • Assist in project closeout by ensuring complete material documentation and records are compiled and archived.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in materials management or logistics for EPC/LSTK oil & gas projects.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Aramco procurement, material specifications, and quality requirements is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing materials related to mechanical equipment, piping, electrical, and instrumentation & controls.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, material handling, and warehouse management.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office applications.
Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic project environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with customs clearance and import/export regulations for KSA.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
