Marine Superintendent - Kanoo Shipping

• Establish and lead a Kanoo Marine department in the Eastern Province.
• Responsible for scheduling of Kanoo Crew boats to meet Customer service KPIs while maintaining safe working hours of Crews, spreading the wear & tear across the Fleet and minimising hire of third-party vessels.
• Responsible for creation and execution of a planned maintenance program for all Kanoo Crew boats.
• Responsible for managing all Kanoo and third-party Crew on board, i.e., recruitment, training, vacation cover, sickness cover, dispute resolution, employment contract terms, replacements.
• Responsible for weekly reporting of Crew boat utilization, problems encountered and customer satisfaction KPIs.
• Responsible to ensure all Crew boats conform to the local and international regulations at all times, e.g., maintain validity of all the required certificates such as Work Permits, Navigation Licenses, Safety certification at all times. Ensure all the mandatory documents remain available on board for any inspection requirements.
• Responsible to maintain all the required safety equipment and PPE as per KSA regulations and Client requirement – and to ensure Kanoo Crews comply with Kanoo LSRs at all times.
• Responsible for repair and maintenance of all Crew Boats and to establish new and competitive Supplier network for spares, provisions and technical assistance within KSA.
• Responsible for revising Kanoo Marine Emergency Response Manual, and associated training of the Crews.
• Responsible to coordinate all actions and responses in the event of a marine emergency situation.
• Plan, budget and schedule required dry-docking of the Crew Boats to minimize down-time and the need to hire third-party replacement Launches.
• Responsible to purchase Fuel and to monitor Fuel consumption against the amount purchased.
• Ensure that the Marine transportation deliveries / collections of materials and supplies are done as per the client’s instructions, procedures and KPIs. And that all activity is noted in Vessel logs.
• Ensure that the Marine transportation deliveries / collections of personnel are done as per the client’s instructions, procedures and KPIs. And that all passengers are logged in and out on the Vessel logbook.
• Ensure parcel deliveries of clients are effectively handled and appropriately recorded in Vessel Logbooks. (No parcel (even less than 500 grams) deliveries to be handled without launch slip.
• Responsible to conduct inspection and audits of third-party crew boats to maintain the approved Vendor List.
• Support branch manager and operations team in hiring of third-party crew boats for the crew transportations at lowest possible price.
• Create and submit annual Budget figures for submission to CFO, including Fuel, Spares, Crew, maintenance, Dry-docking, licensing and so on.
• Prepare statistical reports meeting the deadlines in accordance with the company, industry and business requirements for review of Regional Shipping Manager – EP KSA.
