The Saudi Irrigation Organization (SIO) in cooperation with Applus+ is looking to develop and implement a comprehensive inspection program for all assets and facilities in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, primarily in the Al-Ahsa region. The program covers pumping stations, distribution networks, storage systems, monitoring and control systems, corrosion protection systems, and administrative buildings. The Technical Lead will coordinate the technical development of the inspection program, ensuring adherence to international standards and alignment with SIO's objectives.Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 8-15 years of experience in engineering and electrical inspection within industrial facilities. This includes proficiency in using inspection equipment for electrical distribution panels, transformers, and electromechanical devices, as well as employing infrared cameras for the inspection of critical power distribution systems and wiring. This expertise covers tasks such as Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), grounding systems, generator systems, and building infrastructures. Additionally, a comprehensive understanding of technical specifications, standards, and inspection manual guidelines related to pumping stations, distribution networks, agricultural drainage, and treated water transmission is required.
  • Familiarity with power transformers, switchgear, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections of electrical equipment including motors, switchgear, and transformers.
  • Assess the condition and operational efficacy.
  • Propose necessary rehabilitation measures.
  • Provide support during installation and commissioning testing.
