- Oversee and manage electrical and mechanical design content and coordinate with other team members to produce the final product/document.
- Translate telecom service orders into EM engineering requirements.
- Prepare electrical (AC & DC) and mechanical (HVAC) design calculations and give a final recommendation on the do-ability of the scope.
- Prepare design drawings on Auto-CAD.
- Prepare site-specific design whenever required (equipment room, etc.).
- Lead necessary coordination with all stakeholders, resolving different issues that may result in delays or setbacks in project progress.
- Assist other team members whenever requested by the line manager, with overall department targets as the goal to achieve.
- Review and approve electrical and mechanical design documents, whether site-specific, new site, or even generic.
- Troubleshoot electromechanical design issues and implement corrective actions to prevent construction delays.
- Identify and mitigate risks, preventing design errors, material failures, and compliance breaches.
- Produce final design attributes, including but not limited to total load in Watts, CAPEX, etc.
- BSc in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
- 5 to 10 years of experience with a solid understanding of Telecommunications Industry standards, including IEEE.
- Proven knowledge in DC Power Designs and Specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective coordination abilities.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Proficient in using Auto-CAD.
- Proficient in using Excel & other MS applications.
- The English Language is mandatory to know, both speaking and writing.
- An MBA would be a plus.
