- Drive the strategic development and execution of health, safety, and welfare initiatives aligned with Qiddiya's goals and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate health and safety objectives into organizational strategy and culture.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to identify potential hazards and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Lead health and safety training programs and enhance awareness of safety practices among employees and stakeholders.
- Manage incident reporting and investigation processes to prevent recurrence, ensuring thorough analysis and response planning.
- Engage with regulatory authorities and external organizations to champion best practices in health, safety, and welfare.
- Monitor health and safety performance metrics, preparing comprehensive reports for executive management to drive informed decision-making.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in health and safety practices throughout the organization.
- Ensure compliance with national and international health and safety legislation and industry standards across all projects and operations.
- Advocate for employee well-being, implementing programs and initiatives that support mental and physical health.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field; advanced degrees are advantageous.
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in health and safety management, particularly in large-scale projects and complex environments.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and welfare legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing health and safety strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of influencing positive change in safety culture.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Professional certifications in health and safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.) are highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities seamlessly.
