The Saudi Irrigation Organization (SIO) in cooperation with Applus+ is looking to develop and implement a comprehensive inspection program for all assets and facilities in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, primarily in the Al-Ahsa region. The program covers pumping stations, distribution networks, storage systems, monitoring and control systems, corrosion protection systems, and administrative buildings. The Technical Lead will coordinate the technical development of the inspection program, ensuring adherence to international standards and alignment with SIO's objectives.Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • 8-15 years of experience in engineering and mechanical inspection within pumping stations, irrigation networks, pumping units, and pipeline networks, along with comprehensive knowledge of technical specifications, standards, and inspection manual guidelines related to water transmission and distribution networks, agricultural drainage, and treated water production and transmission facilities. A strong technical understanding of equipment, pipes, as well as the inspection and repair of storage tanks is required.
  • A solid comprehension of materials, welding, pipes, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical inspections of pumps, compressors, and piping systems.
  • Evaluate vibration and mechanical integrity.
  • Propose maintenance actions.
  • Assist in risk-based inspection programs.
