The Fleet Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of a company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained, utilized efficiently, and compliant with regulations. Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
Coordinate regular vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Monitor fuel consumption and implement strategies to reduce costs.
Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Analyze fleet performance data and prepare reports for management review.
Train and supervise fleet staff to ensure effective operations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding fleet operations.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
Assist in the procurement of new vehicles and equipment as needed.
