A German Based Swecko company seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the construction of Red Sea project .The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of construction projects, ensuring all work complies with relevant standards, codes, and project specifications.The role involves close coordination with project teams, contractors, and consultants to monitor mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and piping installations from a quality assurance perspective.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections and testing of mechanical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO, etc.)Review and approve mechanical material submittals, method statements, and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)Monitor and report on quality issues during construction, identify non-conformities, and ensure corrective actions are implementedMaintain quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, NCRs, and QA/QC logsCollaborate with the project team to resolve technical issues related to mechanical systemsCoordinate with third-party testing agencies and participate in site auditsAssist in developing and implementing project-specific QA/QC plans for mechanical worksSupport the commissioning and handover process of mechanical systemsRequirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldMinimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical quality control within the construction industryStrong knowledge of mechanical systems in building or infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with local and international quality standards and codesProficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specificationsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and documentation skills[Optional: Certification in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), PMP, or related credentials]
