Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Controls Manager to join our team!What You'll Be Doing:Leads a team of cost engineers/accountants performing internal budget control and cost forecasting, among other cost and schedule management functions which includes:Set up baseline budget (resource/revenue/cost) with appropriate WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), interfacing with various disciplines and in coordination with the Project Manager and Scheduler.Analyze, evaluate, forecast and report cost status against the established baseline in collaboration with the planning teamPrepares/updates various weekly and monthly cost tracking reportsEstablishes resource, revenue and cost projections for projects in coordination with project teamsPerforms variance analysis against the baseline projections and initiates/recommends corrective actionsUtilizes historical data and trends for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecastingMonitors and tracks project progress and performs Earned Value AnalysisUnderstanding of planning and scheduling concepts, EVMS, and related softwareParticipate in the monthly & quarterly reviews and support the project team to explain the variances, justificationsProvides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex cost control problem for construction and design projectsSupports the Project Director in reviewing and finalizing the business planCompletes performance reviews for direct reports and provides personnel developmentCustomizes project control systems to meet specific project requirementsMay interface with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reportsCoordinates with Corporate Project Control/Legal/Finance/Commercial/ Planning teams as appropriate to fulfill above responsibilities and resolve the issues related to: Financial matters, Procurement of Subconsultants or vendors, Prime Contracts with Clients, Subconsultant Contracts, TaxationEstablishing the best practices for budget/forecasting and cost controls and implementing at project levelCoordinating with other Departments to ensure that all costs are properly charged on jobs and project cost control person has full visibilitySupport the billing and Collection process from preparing invoices to coordinating with other stakeholders for timely collectionPreparation of multiple Trackers / Logs to monitor cost related information and issues.Preparers and Provides Project Controls related subject/contentPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor of Engineering or Commerce/Finance/Business or construction management or related field15+ years of experience in construction/design projectsThorough knowledge of industry, the best practices and regulations.Experience with Project Controls / Management systems (Oracle PM, Primavera, PMIS etc.)Good written and oral communication skillsExcel Advanced knowledgeStakeholders ManagementPower BI knowledgeParsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
