With a collective strength of 10 brands, we have more than 200 million monthly users that trust in our dedication to providing them with the best platform for their needs.As a Financial Controller, you will lead and mentor the finance and accounts team, while working closely with Management to ensure seamless operations in day to day functioning as well as periodic reporting, planning and performance management of the team as well as business units.What you'll be doing:

Manage accounting environment and financial reporting
Align management financial reports with business strategy in order to provide the insight and transparency necessary to affect positive change and drive decision-making.
Develop and implement tool sets and reports that support business needs.
Recommend/support all system developments impacting accounting and reporting processes.
Develop and recommend accounting control strategies to establish and manage financial policies, processes and procedures, and records
Manage the Company’s cash position, banking, and investment accounts
Provide guidance and advice to executives, managers, and staff on financial matters
Direct responsibility for completing the financial audit from external audit relations, audit planning, provision of information to auditors, reviewing auditor reporting and presenting the financial report for internal approval.
Manage VAT reporting and compliance
Identify and drive required business improvements
Operates technology and/or shared services that increase operating efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting from a recognized university
Accounting qualification designation. Chartered Accountant program preferred.
10+ years of post qualification experience in an accounting, auditing or finance role
Significant knowledge and experience with operational and financial reporting.
Proficiency with MS Office with knowledge of SAGE software advantageous.
Strong cash flow management skills.
Good organization skills. The Controller has to keep up with a lot of information from multiple interconnected sources.
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business and accounting issues.
Strong influence and negotiating skills to ensure compliance with policy and the delivery against plans and targets.
Ability to manage and mentor the finance/ accounts and admin team
Able to relay difficult, dense information to Management in a precise and easy to understand way.
