Job DescriptionWorks with the staff to promote sport as a healthy activity for the hospital employee and their dependents that can assist their physical and emotional well-being, their ability to work collaboratively and their leadership and physical skills; initiates creative and innovative sports/fitness programs and activities.Plans,establishs, delivers and conducts sports training programs and tournaments appropriate to all group levels; ensuring sports classes/trainings and tournaments are well organized and carried out effectively and in a timely and collaborative manner and working within the approved budget.Identifies participants’ abilities and encourage them to reach their full potentials.Gives alternative exercises during workouts or classes for different levels of fitness and skills.Demonstrates how to carry out various exercises and routines to improve sports skills.Provides explanations and demonstrate sports techniques and identify ways to improve performance.Creats a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children and adults to participate in sports trainings and classes.Assists in other program as needed.Gives emergency first aid as needed.Explains and enforce safety rules and regulations on sports, fitness, recreational activities, and the use of sports equipment.Undertakes regular patrols during shifts, ensuring that the users are abiding by the rules, regulations and conditions of use; challenges unauthorized entrance and prevent inappropriate or illegal use of the sports facilities and equipment; ensuring only eligible customers use the facility.Maintains ongoing Social Club sports and fitness equipment quality control and inventory. Replaces or reorders any damaged or destroyed equipment.Prepares and maintains formal records and evaluation summaries of each sports event, detailing cost, materials and personnel needed, participants in each of the different sports program, number of games, date of play, specific recommendations, etc.; prepares various reports required by the Social Club Manager and submits in a timely mannerPerforms all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner.Performs all other related duties as required or assigned.Requirements and ResponsibilitiesBachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Sports Management or related field from an accredited university with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in related field (Essential).OR,Master’s Degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Recreation, Parks and Leisure Studies or related field from an accredited university (Desirable)
