- Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets for steel products such as billets and rebars.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Plan and implement tactical sales campaigns targeting sectors like steel rolling mills and construction industries.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers including manufacturers, fabricators, and distributors.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, calls, and industry events.
- Collaborate with marketing for promotional campaigns and client acquisition.
- Monitor sales performance, generate regular reports, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Assist in demand forecasting and inventory management to ensure product availability.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies while ensuring profitability.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as production, procurement, engineering, and quality control.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitors through events and research.
- Prepare and manage the sales budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10–12 years of sales experience in the steel industry, particularly with billets and rebars.
- Proven track record in business development, account management, and meeting sales targets.
- Experience managing B2B sales with large-scale customers.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal products and the broader metal industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and CRM software such as Salesforce.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
