We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Low Current Systems Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of integrated systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Audio-Visual (AV) systems, theatrical lighting & hoists, CCTV (Video Surveillance), and structured network cabling. You will work on diverse projects, from corporate boardrooms and performance venues to secure facilities, ensuring all systems operate at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Termination: Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber optic, coaxial, speaker wire, RS-232/422/485, Dante/AES50 audio network) for various systems.
Audio-Visual Systems:
Mount displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, and cameras.
Rack build, wiring, and installation of AV processors, amplifiers, DSPs, video switchers, and control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp).
Assist with basic configuration and calibration of AV equipment.
Lighting & Hoist Systems:
Install and wire architectural and theatrical lighting control systems (e.g., DMX, DALI, 0-10V).
Install, assemble, and assist in the commissioning of motorized hoists, rigging, and stage machinery under the direction of a certified rigger.
Understand and adhere to strict safety protocols for overhead lifting equipment.
CCTV & Security Systems:
Install and configure IP and analog cameras, NVRs/DVRs, monitors
Network Systems:
Install and terminate network racks, patch panels, and switches.
Perform basic network troubleshooting using tools like ping and traceroute.
Understand network fundamentals like VLANs and IP addressing as they relate to converging AV and security systems onto a network backbone.
Troubleshooting & Service: Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions and performance issues. Perform routine preventive maintenance on installed systems.
