Painting and Mechanical EstimatorWe seek a highly skilled Painting and Mechanical Estimator with proven experience in the oil, gas, petrochemical, and chemical sectors. Possesses a solid background in mechanical systems and industrial coating/painting works and a strong understanding of ARAMCO and SABIC project standards, procedures, and estimating methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops detailed cost estimates for mechanical (piping, fabrication, mechanical repair, equipment erection) and industrial painting works across oil, gas, petrochemical, and chemical projects.
  • Reviews engineering documents, including P&IDs, isometrics, plot plans, and material take-offs (MTOs).
  • Ensures all estimates comply with ARAMCO and SABIC technical specifications and client requirements.
  • Conducts site assessments to gather accurate information on project scope and conditions.
  • Coordinates with procurement and subcontract teams to obtain up-to-date vendor quotes and pricing.
  • Prepares Bills of Quantities (BOQs), man-hour calculations, and material summaries.
  • Participates in tender evaluations, technical clarifications, and pre-bid meetings.
  • Provides input for budgeting, planning, and cost control during execution when required.
  • Maintains and update unit rate databases and productivity norms specific to the oil & gas and petrochemical sectors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
4–8 years of relevant experience in estimation, preferably in oil, gas, petrochemical, or chemical plants.
In-depth knowledge of industrial painting systems, mechanical works, and insulation for plant projects.
Familiarity with ARAMCO, SABIC, and other regional client standards and workflows.
Proficient in using estimation tools such as Excel, Candy/CCS, SAP, or other industry-standard software.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and internal coordination.Preferred Skills:
Experience with EPC contractors, SABIC & ARAMCO support contractors, or major subcontractors in the GCC region.
Knowledge of corrosion protection systems and surface preparation standards (e.g., SSPC/NACE).
Understanding of construction sequencing, QA/QC practices, and safety compliance in the petrochemical industry.
