Job Advertisement: LAN/Network OfficerA renowned Steel Factory is seeking to hire a qualified and experienced LAN/Network Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth connectivity between the Head Office and Factory, and providing reliable technical support to employees.Key Responsibilities:

Manage and administer the Local Area Network (LAN) across Head Office and Factory.
Ensure seamless network connectivity between Head Office and Factory premises.
Oversee and maintain network security, firewalls, and data protection protocols.
Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, servers, routers, switches, and other network devices.
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals used by employees.
Perform regular system backups, updates, and preventive maintenance.
Manage email servers, internet connectivity, and configurations.
Ensure timely troubleshooting of software and hardware issues.
Maintain IT documentation, including network diagrams, asset inventory, and troubleshooting logs.
Liaise with vendors/service providers for IT-related procurements and support services.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in LAN/Network management and IT support.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security systems.
Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers and Active Directory.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
