Architect

Responsibilities:

The Senior Architect will work cohesively and collaboratively within a team allocated to them by their Head of Department
Identifies, through consultation, client’s requirements, approximate budget, timetable, and possible needs for future expansion.
Determines client’s preferences regarding materials, styles, colors, and other variables.
Attempts to identify through collaboration clients’ priorities in terms of needs vs. desires.
Assists clients in defining their priorities and vision by preparing preliminary sketches of options.
Prepares/manages the production of designs, specifications, estimated costs, and proposed construction schedule.
Prepares/manages the production of detailed plans integrating engineering, electrical, and HVAC considerations; presents plan to clients for review and approval.
Prepares/manages the modification/update of new or existing plans as required.
Prepares/manages the production of scale drawings and contract requirements
Works on new project BIDS
Collaborates with clients to select and award construction contracts.
Manages architects, associate level architects and allocates tasks and duties
Undertake QA/QC checks of design deliverables
Report authoring skills are a pre-requisite
Ability to present to internal and stakeholders in English is a pre-requisite
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in architecture from an accredited University
M. Arch would be a distinct advantage
Full Membership of the Saudi Council of Engineers
Registration of international Architectural Body is an advantage but not a pre-requisite.
A Minimum of 12 years’ experience, with a min of 5 years within the GCC/MENA.
Previous management of small to medium sized design teams
Exposure to multiple project typologies
Concept and Technical Design Skills
