The Estimation Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical works involved in construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects. This role involves analyzing project drawings, specifications, and requirements to develop detailed estimates, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.Key Responsibilities:Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to understand the mechanical requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical components, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to gather pricing and supplier information.
Analyze bid documents and prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather on-ground data where necessary.
Ensure estimates are aligned with project budgets and timelines.
Maintain and update estimating databases and historical data for future projects.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks.
Assist in contract negotiations and clarifications with clients and vendors.
Prepare reports and documentation for management review.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Proven experience in mechanical estimation within construction, manufacturing, or similar industries.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and construction methods.
Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office tools.
Good knowledge of project management and procurement processes.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
