Mechanical Technician - BIM

Create and update BIM models for mechanical systems, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), chilled water, drainage, and plumbing systems using Revit and related BIM software.
Collaborate with BIM coordinators, mechanical engineers, and other discipline modelers to ensure accurate and fully coordinated 3D models.
Generate construction-ready shop drawings, detailed layouts, and sections from BIM models in accordance with project standards and specifications.
Participate in clash detection and coordination activities using tools such as Navisworks, and revise models based on feedback.
Ensure all modeling follows project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Level of Detail (LOD) requirements, and standardized naming conventions.
Assist in producing bills of quantities, spool drawings, and fabrication details based on model data.
Update models with site revisions and as-built information during the construction and close-out phases.
Requirements:

Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
2–5 years of experience in mechanical drafting or BIM modeling, particularly in MEP contracting or design environments.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks; experience with BIM 360 or other CDE platforms is an advantage.
Good understanding of mechanical systems, coordination requirements, and construction methodologies.
High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and commitment to quality output.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
