Job Description:Responsibilities:Architect and manage Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, SUSE) for critical infrastructureDesign and manage AIX server in pSeries architecture, including LPARs, VIO servers, and PowerVM environmentsAutomate OS deployments, patching, and configuration using Ansible and SaltStack.Integrate Unix systems with security controls and monitoring tools to ensure system compliance to Security standardAnalyze performance bottlenecks and provide permanent fixes via root cause analysis of Linux/AIX systemsCollaborate on DR readiness and participate in high-availability testingProvide technical support in infrastructure services, responding to issues and assisting in tasksContribute to the implementation of infrastructure projects and assignmentsSupport the development of infrastructure documentation, including incident logs and configuration recordsApply technical knowledge to address Linux/AIX infrastructure-related challengesFollow established best practices and standards in infrastructure service deliveryUtilize technical skills to address infrastructure issues and incidentsRequired skills:Advanced knowledge of Linux OS internals and kernel tuningExpertise in AIX OS, PowerHA, PowerVM, NIM, and VIO serversExperience with virtualization (KVM, VMware) and hybrid infrastructure.Awareness of CIS hardening, log forwarding, and SIEM integration and Proficient in security compliance standards and OS-level auditingExperience with Ansible, Puppet or similar automation tools.Experience in setting up Linux Centralized management tool (RedHat Satellite/SUSE Manager) and patch managementGood knowledge of hybrid IT environmentsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experienceTypically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar roleProven experience in infrastructure technology analysisProficiencies in data analysis and technical knowledgeA continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technologyOther Qualifications:An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plusRelevant certifications, such as Linux / AIX CertificationsAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
