The Lead Procurement Expeditor is responsible for ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for ongoing projects. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, tracking shipments, resolving procurement issues, and expediting orders to meet project schedules and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Review procurement schedules and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Monitor and track purchase orders from placement through delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines.
Act as the primary point of contact between the company and suppliers/vendor partners.
Expedite overdue or delayed shipments proactively, resolving issues to minimize project impact.
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and project teams to prioritize urgent orders.
Maintain accurate procurement and expediting documentation and reports.
Assess supplier performance and recommend improvements.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.
Support contract negotiations and review terms with suppliers.
Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 8 - 12 years of procurement and expediting experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or engineering sectors.
Proven experience in managing large or complex procurement projects.
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and procurement software.
Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
