Duties and Responsibilities 1. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy, including SWOT analysis, market segmentation, and competitive positioning.
2. Set short- and long-term sales targets aligned with the growth objectives and financial goals.
3. Conduct market research to identify trends, client needs, and emerging opportunities in FM (e.g., government contracts, private sector RFPs).
4. Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and government entities to secure new projects.
5. Register with key stakeholders to ensure inclusion in approved vendor lists for RFP eligibility.
6. Lead client presentations (pre-bid, mid-bid, post-bid) and negotiate contracts to close deals. 7. Oversee the end-to-end RFP process: tracking, evaluation, and submission of high- quality technical/commercial proposals. 8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Legal) to ensure proposal compliance and competitiveness.
9. Conduct site visits and liaise with clients to clarify project specifications. 10. Maintain a robust sales pipeline with regular updates on leads, wins/losses, and market feedback.
11. Monitor account performance and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities for existingclients.
12. Submit weekly reports on activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to senior
management.
13. Initiate handover to Operations for awarded projects, ensuring smooth client onboarding.
14. Work with the Finance team to address pricing, margins, and contractual terms.
15. Maintain accurate records of client data, contracts, and business development activities.
