The Commercial Analyst – Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making across sales, retail, and TDI uplift channels. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful commercial reporting, leveraging advanced analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI. The analyst supports strategic planning, revenue forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking, ensuring alignment with regional and global standards. By integrating data from multiple systems and presenting actionable insights, the role contributes directly to EBIT growth, commercial efficiency, and strategic initiatives.Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Reporting & Forecasting
- Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, retail, and TDI uplift performance.
- Lead revenue flash submissions, rest-of-year projections, and annual budget planning.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of commission, segmentation, and customized reports to Area and Global functions.
- Design and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards for real-time performance tracking.
- Consolidate data from COMET, Stellar, retail systems, and BI platforms into unified reporting structures.
- Provide deep-dive analysis on customer incentives, campaigns, and commercial initiatives.
- Drive automation of reporting processes and improve data quality across systems.
- Identify and implement opportunities for workflow optimization and system integration.
- Ensure data governance and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Partner with sales, retail, pricing, TDI uplift, and finance teams to align forecasts and commercial strategies.
- Support commercial events (kick-offs, reviews, campaigns) with structured data packs and presentations.
- Collaborate on costing models for ad-hoc projects and validate recharges and credits logic.
- Handle internal and external queries requiring detailed commercial analysis.
- Prepare executive-level presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Influence decision-makers by translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Enable strategic, data-driven decisions across commercial functions.
- Improve visibility and performance tracking of TDI uplift and retail channels.
- Ensure compliance with Area/Global reporting cycles and deadlines.
- Increase adoption and usage of Power BI dashboards across teams.
- Enhance forecast accuracy and commercial planning efficiency.
- Consolidating diverse data sources into coherent, actionable insights.
- Managing high-pressure reporting cycles with tight deadlines.
- Translating raw data into strategic recommendations that drive commercial outcomes.
- Internal: Sales Management, Key Account Executives, Retail, Finance, Operations, HR, Pricing, TDI Commercial Uplift.
- External: DHL Regional/Global stakeholders, clients requiring commercial insights.
- Independently manage reporting cycles and prioritize competing requests.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in reporting and analytics.
Planning & Organizing: Manages multiple reporting cycles and ad-hoc requests efficiently.
Communication: Presents complex data clearly to commercial leaders and stakeholders.
Teamwork: Collaborates across functions and mentors junior staff.
Performance Management: Tracks KPIs and recommends performance improvement actions.Skills & Qualifications
Key Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, SQL basics, and Access.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset.
- Ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Experience in reporting
- Proven success in dashboard development and delivering actionable insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
- Postgraduate degree or certifications in BI/Analytics are a plus.
