Egis’ long history of providing comprehensive engineering, consulting, and project management services makes it a trusted partner for regional governments, investors, and developers.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical GIS Specialist to join our Project Management Office (PMO) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our GIS team, you will utilise your expertise in Geographic Information Systems to support and enhance our landscape development projects.

Develop and maintain GIS databases, maps, and spatial analyses to support urban planning and design initiatives
Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and project managers to integrate GIS data into planning processes
Conduct spatial analysis and create high-quality maps and visualisations for project presentations and reports
Manage and analyse complex datasets related to land use, zoning, infrastructure, and environmental factors
Support the PMO by providing GIS-based insights for project planning, monitoring, and decision-making
Develop and implement GIS-based solutions to optimise planning, design, construction and operation processes and workflows
Stay current with GIS technologies for urban forestry and asset management trends, recommending innovative approaches when appropriate
Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian urban planning regulations and policies in all GIS-related activities
Provide technical support and training to team members on GIS tools and applications.
Review the GIS submissions and GIS related reports in all projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Geomatics, Urban Planning, or a related field; master’s degree preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in GIS and urban planning, preferably in a project management environment
Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS and QGIS, with the ability to perform advanced spatial analysis and mapping
Strong knowledge of urban development principles, land use planning, and spatial data analysis
Experience with remote sensing, image interpretation, and CAD software
Excellent data management skills, including the ability to work with large and complex datasets
Familiarity with project management methodologies and PMO processes
Knowledge of Saudi Arabian urban planning regulations and policies is highly desirable
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
GIS Professional (GISP) certification is a plus
